Double Glazing to Your Existing Windows
DOUBLE GLAZING YOUR EXISTING TIMBER WINDOWS: WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO YOU?.....
NFW supplies and fits new IGU's (individual glazing units)
and new glazing beads into your existing window frames, all of our supplied glass is toughened on the inside and either laminated or toughened on the outside, for example: 6.50mm V lam/Hush clear outside/6mm argon gap/4mm toughened clear Lightbridge inside or 4mm toughened clear Lightbridge outside/8mm argon gap/4mm toughened clear Lightbridge inside and all glass supplied by our good friends VARIDIAN.
These are the two common sizes we install but your requirements maybe different, you may prefer tint in your glass, a site inspection can be confirmed with the client upon site inspection including all of your NOISE and THERMAL needs.
Once the fitting is complete and the new beads installed, they now just require painting and that can be done by you, your preferred tradesman or by the NFW
TEAM who have 28 plus years as painters.

The existing colonial awning style window to be upgraded to a job in Vermont South.
Removal of the opening sash, bottom colonial bars including glass and the horizontal mid mullion.
NOTE: NO DAMAGE TO THE INSIDE OF THE ARCHITRAVES OR PLASTERBOARD.
New upgraded 6.38mm clear laminated glass to code including custom made COLORBOND sides and sill to cover over the removal of the horizontal mid mullion, builders bog used to fill the rest and sanded to suit on the inside.
Finish off with a light sand to the COLORBOND and two coats of oil satin enamel to the inside in the existing colour scheme and stain to the outside.
A before look at the colonial awning windows either side of the fireplace which is also getting a make over.
Now completed with full height 6.38mm clear laminated glass to code.......WHAT A DIFFERENCE WITH MORE NATURAL DAYLIGHT ENTERING THE ROOM.
Removal of the old glass and trenching the new depth to except the thicker IGU.
Nearly complete, just the corners to be removed of the excess timber.
New depth completed and dusted off.
Silicon to the external edges and new IGU in resting position.
New timber beads fitted.
Existing sash placed back in to the original window frame.
