The Timber Rot Process:
Timber windows only rot when water penetrates consistently into the timber’s grain, cracks and imperfections.
Over time, with the help of the sun, timber substrates break down to form wood-rot. The Profiling System I have developed to alleviate this damaging process is very basic:
"Stop the water and moisture from penetrating into the timber!"

I’ve been in the window repair business since 1987, and my belief is this: It doesn’t matter which product you use, replacing and splicing back into rotten timber, filling the joins and then painting over the top doesn’t last because you’re dealing with Mother Nature.

The Power of COLORBOND:
Measured and pre-formed Zincalume and/or COLORBOND metal profiles are fitted with great accuracy and act as a suit of armour, a barrier to protect the broken down timber from the outside elements.
Cedar windows, which have been eaten by cockatoos for example, often enjoy this application system with excellent results. This means that damaging sunlight, water and birds can no longer do any damage to the timber surface - no matter what the condition of the timber - because it’s is covered by the Zincalume profiles in a seamless match. Zincalume simply requires painting, or the metal profiles can be manufactured from COLORBOND with "NO-MORE" painting required complete with the reassurance of a 10 year installation guarantee.
